LULLABY FOR SCAVENGERS
Kim Noble
Knack
How do you find your place in a world that doesn’t necessarily want you?
British performer and director Kim Noble is bringing his theatre to Brussels. In Lullaby for Scavengers, a stuffed, hyper-vocal grey squirrel and an already-dead fox support the performer in a lost quest. The trio discuss the human condition, what we should pass on to the next generation and maladjustment to the world, enabling the show to draw an irresistibly tragic line under the artist’s trilogy on loneliness and friendship.
Yet from the strange and the disturbing emerges a great tenderness and a dreamlike absurdity that is quite unique. Noble flirts with pathos amid the ribaldry, but things always come out on the bright side. One of the best shows of recent years!
