With The Great He-Goat, the major Belgian choreographic company Mossoux-Bonté presents a hybrid show where the unreal is king and the strange takes charge.
A horde of men and women, like those depicted by Goya from the depths of war-torn Spain, traverse the disasters of history. Kitted out with puppet doubles that multiply and transfigure them, they see their bearings crumble away, their connection with reality take on absurd forms.
To the rhythm of old fandangos and lullabies, the ten performers sing lost songs as they traverse the disasters of history and disguise their dismay with derision to avoid being engulfed by the debacle all around.
A sumptuous phantasmagoria of sound and vision!
