The contradictory nature of fireworks is captivating. Their detonation brings to mind both celebration and war. They bring people together as much as they surprise us, blending fear with excitement. Drawing inspiration from the images that come with it and memories straight from the collective consciousness, Derniers Feux focuses on the moment before the explosion, that suspended time from which dreams emerge.
Surrounded by dancers and musicians, Némo Flouret evokes this turmoil, this grey area, buffeted by opposing winds, capturing all the beauty of pyrotechnics: waiting, anticipation, hope, frustration, breathlessness… To the sound of trumpets, broken melodies and rhythms, their persistent and continuous dances exalt the present, as if this performance, which they craft spontaneously, were the last, indefinitely.
