“Here we meet again
in dangerous dynamics, it’s what drives us
True, we’ve discussed it a lot already...
It could go wrong, from all directions, and all at the same time
But, to be honest, we're only at the start
We are humble.
So yes, we can admit it.
We are curtailed by a number of limits,
anyone can fail at any time
Our bodies and our brains are failing constantly
Maybe that’s precisely what makes us so human, so fragile,
tragic and funny all at once.
Based on this principle,
it’s just a question of waiting...
Let’s see, let it come and,
patiently, silkily,
long may our joy abide!”
This year, 3rd year students of the Superior School of Circus Arts are putting on a collective creation directed by Elske van Gelder and Christophe Lafargue from Cirque Pardi.
Collective projects of the Superior School of Circus Arts (ESAC):
In supervised collective projects, students are teamed with directors, choreographers or circus artists chosen for their artistic quality and their ability to direct them in a creative process. These scenarios are designed to expose the student to original artistic languages that they can use to express their creativity while being aware of the creative group, as a whole, with which they are developing. These projects lead on to public performances and enable the students to understand all the facets of a modern circus show. From writing to production, the students take part in the creation, construction and staging of the show, and act as performers for the production.
