The Grand Marché aux Halles is a festive, cross-disciplinary and inclusive event that transforms Les Halles de Schaerbeek into a vibrant hub of cultural, artistic and community exchange.
It celebrates local creativity, the unsung heroes of the cultural sector (mediators, programmers and other cultural practitioners), and emerging forms of expression, through a wealth of stalls, workshops and performances.
It is a vibrant space where the public and artists come together in a spirit of conviviality and sharing.
A contemporary, vibrant and socially engaged agora, at the heart of Brussels’ urban fabric.

Choreographers and performers: Madlenka Havlínová and Marie Després (Minus 5 collective) - SupRe Simple is Madlenka and Marie’s adventure, which isn’t always so simple. Through words, gestures, facial expressions, tall tales and a few truths, the two friends turn the stage into a playground where new ways of understanding and understanding one another are forged.

Linked by a metal chain, a violinist and a bicycle acrobat break down the boundaries between freedom and interdependence. FLUGI explores a world where sound shapes movement and movement becomes music. A lyrical encounter between classical repertoire and electronic textures.

16:30 – 17:00 — Les Chansons de Bilitis – (Interprète : Emilie Eechaute / Mise en Voix : Corentin Delpierre / Direction Musicale & Composition : Sevas) Promo Jeune : A musical reading in which an actress gives voice to Bilitis, an ancient poetess and ‘contemporary’ of Sappho. From poem to poem, she recounts her childhood, her games, her friendships, nature, and the discovery of sexuality.
