Soulwax is making a big splash! Tickets for their concerts at Les Halles de Schaerbeek are selling fast: the 18 December concert is now sold out, while a handful of tickets for 17 December are still available. The Dewaele brothers have therefore decided to add a show on Friday 19 December at the Brussels venue. Tickets for this new date will be available from Friday 12 September at 10 a.m.
Formed by brothers Stephen and David Dewaele in 1995, Soulwax continues to push the boundaries of music into new and innovative territories. They are also recognised as one of the most innovative teams of remixers and producers. In addition to their band, the Dewaele brothers are involved in a number of other projects: they are DJs (2manydjs), have a record label (DEEWEE) and run the Despacio sound system in collaboration with James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem. Described by the brothers as ‘a rock album made without any electric guitars’, All Systems Are Lying was composed entirely using modular synthesizers, live drums, tape recorders and processed vocals. With this new album, Soulwax holds up a broken mirror to a society on the brink of collapse, where truth is distorted by filters, algorithms and noise.
