Looking for Mary

Bruckmann has been flirting with Marie with intermittent obstinacy for a long time now. Or is it the other way around? Mary is ironing pants (Joseph’s?). She is looking for a place to stay. She is auditioning for Godard. She visits a mosque, half-tourist, half-lost investigator. She is collecting odd jobs. And when Gabriel approaches (the Archangel, really?), the words she speaks are not hers. In an amazing textual and scenic set-up, with burlesque rigour, Marie explores her inner self, her states of mind, her states of states, her states of grace.
