Commencer à exister
Martin Palisse, David Gauchard et Stefan Kinsman
Min. age: 10+ / Running time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Following Time To Tell, the first in a series of three productions exploring the theme of ‘Legacies’, Martin Palisse continues his collaboration with David Gauchard and his quest for a form of circus-theatre in which the writing intertwines autobiographical narrative with physical expression. This time, he invites Stefan Kinsman, an actor as much as a performer, to “be there”, as close as possible to emotions and bodies. Both men, at a different turning point in their lives, open up about the traces their families have left within them.
Between the words, the circus act becomes a kind of invitation to forget, to transcend, to friendship, to the building of a new form of family.
Commencer à exister blends documentary theatre with improvised circus to evoke a sense of hope for transformation. Between the memory of the past and the performative act, in the urgency of the present. And finally, how does one manage to end well?
