The planet is burning. What would Lucy - the 3 million year-old Australopithecus discovered in the Ethiopian desert in 1974 - say? In Brûler she is summoned to the centre of an immersive creation that questions the fantasy around our origins and ponders the finiteness of our existence and our desire to go beyond it. Somewhere between archaeology and leaps towards the future.
The point of collision between the scientific dream of immortal life and the announcement of humanity’s extinction is the blazing ground that forms the basis of an exploration by Jorge León and a team of invited artists of the possibilities of a shared evolution, in a walk-through experience where the mediums of expression converge to burn together with a different fire.
