LA PLUS BELLE ÉQUIPE
Le Plus Grand Match 2 Foot Du Monde
Le Grand Marché
Description of the performance
La Plus Belle Équipe is a participatory, ambulatory performance in which the audience is invited to play a football match, not against another team but as one. In order to score their final goal and win, the players will have to pass through various stages in the same way as they pass through levels, under the control of guides-referees-coaches. The aim of the game is above all to develop the most magnificent scenes of collaboration that foot2rue has ever seen and to reach the final goal.
Throughout the festival, Le Plus Grand Match 2 Foot du Monde will be running a ticket office where participants can sign up to play in La Plus Belle Equipe on Sunday 29 June, starting at 2pm.
Description of the collective
Le Plus Grand Match 2 Foot Du Monde is a collective whose primary aim is to explore football in the public space. For the past two years, they have been roaming the streets of Brussels, Rio, Marseille and Geneva in search of new forms of the game, in situ, in order to take football out of its confines and reshape its rules. By transforming the game, they make it more accessible, making room for other skills and challenging hierarchical, masculine and capitalist football.
In September 2024, they organised their first performance to mark car-free day in Brussels, Le Plus Grand Match 2 Foot Du Monde 1, where the goals were set 1km apart and everyone was invited to join in the game.
