An unflinching and impactful performance that begins with intense images: colonial violence, Islamophobia, police repression. Then, silence. A body in white begins to move.

The dance unfolds – pulsating, popping, jerking, trembling, undulating. Every movement is memory, every vibration a struggle. The solo becomes a ritual, the stage is transformed into a place of collective exorcism.

Back/Bridge is an exploration, through movement and imagery, of the continuum of colonial violence within the bodies and memories of post-colonial diasporas.

Through a striking dialogue between choreography and iconography, connections are woven between historical archival images and contemporary media representations, revealing the imprint of a past that is still present. A profound and essential work.
