In relation to whom? مرتاحة؟
Marah Haj Hussein & Nur Garabli / Monty
In relation to whom? مرتاحة؟ brings together Marah Haj and Nur Garabli, two Palestinian artists based in Antwerp and Jaffa. For the first time, they meet and create together, driven by the shared realities of occupied Palestine while embodying them differently.
Drawing on a choreographical language shaped by militarisation and Western techniques, they rewrite their dance, blending maternal heritage, humour, tension and vulnerability.
This creation explores where the past and present collide, delves into the idea of the body as living, transformative matter and opens up a space where memory, fragility and the connection between body and mind become liberating and profoundly human.
